Ethics probe brings DeLay "closer to God"

DeLay Says Scrutiny Has Put Him 'Closer to God'
Tue Apr 19, 2005

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. House of Representatives Majority Leader Tom DeLay described himself as "closer to God" on Tuesday as a result of intense scrutiny of his ethical conduct. DeLay, who has denied any wrongdoing, said President Bush has voiced support, along with conservative groups and fellow House Republicans -- and that he has no intentions of giving up his leadership job.

Closer to God. That's convenient.

What he meant to say was he felt a hot breath on the back of his neck, and knew without turning around who it was.

While not normally one to preach violence, I hope DeLay gets close enough to God for God to give him a smack. Nothing says ethical like using God for political purposes!

And God was all like "I don't know who this choad-munch is," and sent one of his archangel to bounce him.

and yea, God verily said to DeLay: Get the fuck off of my property, beeeeyatch

Under what circumstances might DeLay say that he was further from God?

I predict DeLay won't last more than a month.
After that he'll make moolah on the lecture circuit, and then run for president (or vice-president) in 2008.

and then run for president (or vice-president) in 2008

Yeah, but what does god say?

The worst part is that some people will believe that asshole.

Oh, my, I hope he doesn't follow through on the rest of the chorus.

And I always thought it was cleanliness that was next to godliness. Guess I had that backwards...

You all missed the meaning of this. Tommy is saying he is getting much closer to his death, meaning, I guess, that he is contemplating suicide. Someone needs to call the suicide hotline for him.

"I want to f*ck you like an animal," Delay did not add.

Without sin, we would have no need of redemption. Better to sin the more, so as to enjoy the fruits of forgiveness hundredfold!

"Closer to God" rhymes with "My whole existence is flawed." Maybe Bugman is speaking in code.
