Slut-o-meter

How slutty is your blog, quantitatively speaking?
Slut-o-meter evaluates the promiscuity of the subject you enter by comparing the number of Google search results with and without "safe-search" enabled. A complete slut would return unsafe results and no safe results. Alternatively, a clean name should produce the same number of safe and unsafe results. The "promiscuity" percentage we give you is calculated as follows:
Results for "Majikthise": Promiscuity 6.02% (130000 / 2160000)
Hat tip to the Presurfer (4.92%).

I put in my blog URL:
Promiscuity: 25.77% (150 / 582)
Posted by: coturnix | December 20, 2005 at 03:25 PM
I was hoping my promiscuity would've been much higher. Unfortunately, my blog only rate 12.79%. I guess it's safe to say we're all prudes.

Maybe I'll do better at Prude-O-Meter. I came in at a disappointing Promiscuity: 3.97% (18 / 453)

Norbizness.com = 29.19% (9400 / 32200). If you've recently come into contact with my blog, please get tested at the free clinic ASAP.
Posted by: norbizness | December 20, 2005 at 04:08 PM
pandagon's up at a solid 60%.
My old place was a whopping 75%
Posted by: Jedmunds | December 20, 2005 at 04:10 PM
wow, the place I guess blog is 1.85%. granted the entries are probably not on that site word comparison table, but I feel so pristine.

As a test I entered "fuck" and got a 100% promiscuous result.
Oddly enough, "ass" is only 20.16% promiscous, implying that "ass" is less promiscuous then both coturnix and norbizness.
Even more bizarre is the finding that the conjunction of the terms into "ass fuck" somehow produces a purification leading to a whooping http://www.slut-o-meter.com/index.php?name=ass+fuck>negative 11204.35% promiscuity rating.
Posted by: TheJew | December 20, 2005 at 04:54 PM
Hmmm 1.74%. I'll have to work on that. Perhaps a few shots of nude raccoons will help. Either that or I'll have to copy Jedmunds style. :o)

Okay, "cosmic variance" comes up with 4.02%. But that's a term of art that doesn't necessarily refer to the blog, so I tried '"cosmic variance" blog', and came up with: -0.93%. A negative number! Our blog is safer than metaphysically possible.

0%!!! And I even have a post up about The Tubes! They should adjust it.

I'm gonna blame you, J. Everyone knows I'm clean as a whistle. You know how to whistle, don't you? Just put your lips together and blow.

you just earn yourself another 5.26% for that sister. :P

UTI is 17.89% slutty (I looked up http://www.brentrasmussen.com; changing the search phrase to UTI reduces the rate to 6.37%).
By the way, if you enter http://majikthise.typepad.com then the sluttiness rate is 9.6%. In effect, HHGG's Majikthise drags you down.

You're a total prude, Lindsay. The American Family Association (www.afa.net) clocked in at 5.94%. That puts you one whole point lower than the Rev. Donald Wildmon's own website. Are you a double-agent for the wacky wingnuts? Are you logging all our posts and passing them along to Homeland Security? Should I be hiring a lawyer right now?
Posted by: John | December 20, 2005 at 07:45 PM
omg, don't challange Lindsay. She is going to have another lave lamp post.

'mkay off topic warning. This is ID update. I wish somebody post the juiciest part of the original decission. Rubbing this to wingnuts face is so satisfying.

Judge Bars 'Intelligent Design' From Pa. Classes
The judge also excoriated members of the school board in Dover, Pa., who he said lied to cover up their religious motives, made a decision of "breathtaking inanity" and "dragged" their community into "this legal maelstrom with its resulting utter waste of monetary and personal resources."

Only one? Everyone knows those people are freaky perverts who are obsessed with all the weird shit other people might be doing, but probably aren't.

Results for "Majikthise": Promiscuity: 6.02% (130000 / 2160000)
That's surprisingly low for a blog whose name sounds a lot like "Magic Thighs."
Posted by: Constantine | December 20, 2005 at 09:47 PM
Doesn't Majikthise sound exactly like "magic thighs"?
Posted by: Alon Levy | December 20, 2005 at 09:55 PM
17.07% For me. Not too good, not too bad. You take your chances, roll the dice.
Posted by: mikez | December 20, 2005 at 10:11 PM
yet again, my pure, even ascetic blog [no pix] is undone by my straining for a clever name. Most of my hits [but not a one of my readers] find me by searching for "thong". kinda rediculous actually considering I just meant a bit of homage to Norman Mailer.
To what do you attribute Majicthise's slight taint? Adults commenting is not adult content.
Posted by: greensmile | December 20, 2005 at 10:27 PM
since you're pretty much in touch with my dowdy middle-agedness, you may be amused to hear that my blog is more than two and a half times sluttier than yours.
Posted by: julia | December 20, 2005 at 11:46 PM
Miraculously, tho I have a profanity in my url, I was only 14.29% slutty. Glad I clocked in higher than the AFA tho.
Posted by: Tex | December 20, 2005 at 11:59 PM
executioners thong is 3% but 20% if you put it in quotes.
I have doubts about what this is really measuring.
Posted by: greensmile | December 21, 2005 at 10:22 AM
Yowza! 18.75% slutty at Sufficient Scruples, meaning my totally nonextistent readership is really missing out on something.
I'm sure a slut-rating of my personal life wouldn't be nearly as successful.
That sucks: out-slutted by my own blog, and still nobody watching.
Posted by: Kevin T. Keith | December 21, 2005 at 11:47 AM
Lindsay, you "slut."
Enjoy.
