I guess its true, if you go too far to the left, you end up in the same place as if you went too far right.

Seems like any attempt to improve the education system in northern Quebec will be stifled by those who suffered at the hands of a poor education system.

Bear in mind that this isn't an aboriginal thing so much as a Pentecostal thing. Fundamentalist right wing churches have achieved quite a lot of power in some isolated, impoverished communities.
