200% more handsome than a normal human could withstand. Great picture of an admittedly photogenic subject (terrifying Arbus baby photo notwithstanding).

The ultimate lightweight journalist pretty boy.

Phantom,

You forgot that he totally does it with dudes which is way against nature. Please don't disappoint me again.

?

My best Anderson Cooper image is when Katrina ( I think )was coming in, he gave the usual stereotype reporter-in-the rain and win shot, grabbed onto the lightpole, yelling "this is the WORST STORM I HAVE EVER SEEN!". Then when the wind picked up a bit he actually screamed " AIEEE" (or something like that )

It was hilarious. Your friend Matt Drudge plays the clip on his radio show every so often.

Walter Cronkite he ain't.

Everytime I see him, he reminds me of the albino in the DaVinci Code.

How exactly is Matt Drudge my friend? Or is that another bit of gay-bashing that you've, as always, veiled in the most cowardly manner possible?

As always, fucking pathetic bullshit from the resident pervy old man.

aeroman

What kind of drugs are you on? What are you so angry about?

My point is that Anderson Cooper is a lightweight pretty boy nobody. Which does not make him that different from 90% of the other talking heads on TV-incl Katie Couric, etc.

There is no agenda. That is the point, period. If you want to read into those words things that are not there, then be my guest.

Delusional twit.

Regards,

Phantom

PS- I like Matt Drudge myself, so its hardly an insult to say that he is your friend.

That's funny, when I think "nobody," I usually don't think about people as successful as Cooper. More often I think about creepy losers who troll the blogs of the young women who live nearby and don't even have the balls to own up to it when they're gay-bashing.

The real question is how did you get that dramatic lighting on a red carpet shot? Was there post processing? You make him look really really good.

The gala is going to be televised on NBC, so the still photographers got to poach off the TV people's big lights.

No post processing.

Anderson would love a copy. Great shooting. Seriously.

Is that due to your "Clenis" or were you just happy to see Mr. Cooper? [not so seriously]

aeroman

It's in your head.

Sorry if I interfered with your "200% more handsome than a normal human could withstand" reverie.

The guy's an empty suit, as are most of America's news-readers ( who I do not dignify with the term journalist in the main )

He's an empty suit who gets lower ratings that the "less handsome" Aaron Brown who he replaced. An empty suit who Fox News takes to the cleaners every day of every week.

But none of them are any good. What America needs is a BBC News World type product, only without the bias. And without the overpaid celebrity well coiffered news presenter.

The only one on CNN I rather enjoy is Lou Dobbs, but I tend lean towards CSPAN and let the politicians hang themselves. It's also a good way to pick up on the latest Capitol Hill gossip.

Maybe we could have a requirement that male and female news-readers wear burqas. Those who need "200% more handsome" readers would lose out but we would have a chance of getting someone who knew "the difference between Iraq and Iran" as Alan Jackson said in the song.

That's the guy who rants about how Hispanics are destroying America, right?

What America needs is a BBC News World type product, only without the bias.

The best way to find someone's bias is to ask him what he thinks BBC or CNN's bias is. His bias will be the diametric opposite of the answer, 90% of the time.

Well, we could also compile a litmus test re Fox News. Their --news-- pieces are absolutely no more biased than those of CNN or anyone else, but the lefties scream like stuck pigs because their little media monopoly has ended.

There are many incidents that illustrate CNN's left bias. You couldn't possibly accuse them of being right with a straight face unless you were pro-illegal immigration and thought Lou Dobbs was bad for that.

My main beef with CNN is not bias but complete lack of international depth and overfocus on missing blondes and celebrities. Which is also my main beef with Fox.

Their --news-- pieces are absolutely no more biased than those of CNN or anyone else

Uh, would this be the same Fox News that identified Mark Foley as "D-FL" in their news coverage?

DJA

That was an obvious and very short lived admin error for which they immediately apologized.

Compare that with the Dan Rather scandal.

"That's the guy who rants about how Hispanics are destroying America, right?"

He tends to focus on illegal immigration destorying America, not Hispanics, and it has been a problem for quite some time. I think whether illegal immigration is destroying America is a very debatable issue, worthy of being discussed.

CZ

Correct. There's a misuse of the language on this issue where those who want control of national borders as against immigration when in fact that is not true at all. They are against illegal immigration.

Immense difference, but most media outlets quite intentionally use the incorrect term.

That was an obvious and very short lived admin error for which they immediately apologized.

Right -- I'm sure it was just an innocent mistake.

Sorry Phantom and aeroman, I can't quite follow the disagreement between you two. I'm too busy staring at those devastating blue eyes. Yeah.

He tends to rant about Hispanic birth rates and Hispanic culture. A good rule of thumb for people who talk about immigration is that if they say Mexican immigrants are forming a subculture instead of assimilating, they have no idea what they're talking about.

Novo . steallie blue eyes
rubbing elbows with the near great ...
a good photo really!

I think that's because illegal immigration has been personified that way. I don't know if his intent is malicious, but alot of people along the border states see it in just the way he does. You couldn't find a hotter topic than illegal immigration in Arizona; I guess you would have to live in it to understand it. I've never heard him talk about cultural issues, but I would disagree with his assessment if that were the case. However, despite his stance on Hispanic culture, I do think he addresses issues such as corporate america, illegal immigration, and tax evasion which other commentators do not. I suppose those are the ones which tend to interest me more than others.
