That is one amazin' photo.

On the Pacific Coast we’ve got a different puffin, horned versus Atlantic, and a different member of the genus Ammodytes, sand lance versus sand eel, but they bear the same relationship.

This has got to be CG.

Suddenly I want to eat some sand eels.

Puffin's tasty too, if you happen to be in Iceland, & eat such.

why does the puffin look sadder than the eels?

KH, I was going say the same thing this morning. Did you just see the same Anthony Bourdain show I did?

The eels seem like they form a beard.
