Biblical assassination bumper stickers
Eliminationist wags were selling bumper stickers that read "Pray for Obama: Psalm 109:8" on Cafe Press. Psalm 109:8 reads: "Let his days be few. Let another take is his office." The next verse is, "Let his children be fatherless And his wife a widow." Followed by, "Let his children wander about and beg; And let them seek sustenance far from their ruined homes." How long before one of these is spotted on the bumper of a hapless Republican county chair? I'm taking bets.
The psalm is probably King David complaining to God about people cursing him, including the curse of "Let his days be few. Let another take is his office. Let his children be fatherless and his wife a widow."
So the people who bought that bumper sticker are aligning themselves with those who cursed King David.

Psalms in general is traditionally attributed to David.
By the way: the most annoying thing about your link is that the Hebrew original either comes without diacritical marks, or comes with diacritical marks that make the words unreadable.

Oh good it says "pray" not "Do this for the lord" which is totally different.
No harm has come from praying, ever.
Also if the rapture is just around the corner why the extra request now?

Isn't "love thy neighbor" one of the Xian biggies? I could be wrong as I was raised Pagan and I'm not familiar with a lot of this kind of thing.
At least this statement tacitly acknowledges that the office is his to be taken rather than pushing the whole idea that he's an usurper who holds the position illegitimately.

One should always be careful what one wishes for. Especially when one's wish might come back to take big ironic bite out of one's ass.

conservatives and republicans should be ashamed of themselves. this is beyond the pale. you can disagree with political policies, but attacking someone's family through the use of scripture definitely crosses the line of decency.

I seriously want to know where all these ideas about sedition, assassination, inciting the mass comes from.
this is fairly sophisticated. The kind that CIA would pull in 3rd world country to incite insurrection.

This sounds like a prank. Most Christian conservatives would not be a part of this.
