More on the OSHA impersonation

Revere responds to the "OSHA" sting scandal. (Background here and here.):
Whoever in the ICE thought this one up, approved it, and issued the orders for it SHOULD BE FIRED FOR INCOMPETENCE, STUPIDITY, CALLOUSNESS, NEGLIGENCE, INCREDIBLE LACK OF JUDGMENT AND IRRESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR.
I've never seen Revere break into all caps before.

ALL CAPS ARE A CONCERN, but not so big a concern as misguided federal agents. One hand of government knows not what the other does.

If we had a head of government with a mind intact . . .

I was struck by the following quote:
"Federal immigration officials say they have the right to round up illegal immigrants in any manner they see fit -- even if it means impersonating Occupational Safety and Health Administration officials."

I don't know what "rules" govern the activities of federal immigration officials, but I find it hard to believe that (absent a case-specific court order) they have a legal right to impersonate other government officials. If they do, there's a huge loophole in the laws that ought to be closed immediately.

If they do, there's a huge loophole in the laws that ought to be closed immediately.

Exactly.

Yeah, they're right about the law, I think. Obviously, their discretion isn't infinite, but they didn't need a court order.

But ditto on it needing to be amended.
