DeLay's gone, one more round, DeLay's gone

Tom DeLay has been indicted in for criminal conspiracy:

A Texas grand jury on Wednesday charged Rep. Tom DeLay and two political associates with conspiracy in a campaign finance scheme, an indictment that could force him to step down as House majority leader.

DeLay attorney Steve Brittain said DeLay was accused of a criminal conspiracy along with two associates, John Colyandro, former executive director of a Texas political action committee formed by DeLay, and Jim Ellis, who heads DeLay’s national political committee. [WaPo]

Excellent titular choice.

Nice use of the Steve Goodman Song.

From the great Province of Alberta to the great state of Texas:

YEEEEEHAAAAAAAHHHH!

To be fair, there are many versions of the Delia song. Neither Steve Goodman nor Johnny Cash really wrote it. Though I don't think you could really say that anyone actually wrote it at this point.

I keep expecting my alarm clock to go off.

Delay, he was triffilin', and he was cold and mean

Kind of evil make me want to grab my sub-machine

Ding-dong, the witch is . . . well, indicted, anyway.

Only as gone as Trent Lott....

Faux News will hire him as a comentator.
