This person has a point, though- Candians evolved from big-foot like creatures, not monkies.

Seems like any attempt to improve the education system in northern Quebec will be stifled by those who suffered at the hands of a poor education system.

But they have Bigfoot.

Bear in mind that this isn't an aboriginal thing so much as a Pentecostal thing. Fundamentalist right wing churches have achieved quite a lot of power in some isolated, impoverished communities.
