Event: Progressive bloggers and American politics
On December 2, I'll be appearing on a panel sponsored by Ig Publishing as part of their annual Small Press book fair:
Come on out, it should be a lively discussion.THE RISE OF THE PROGRESSIVE BLOGOSPHERE AND THE FUTURE OF AMERICAN POLITICS
Leading liberal/progressive political bloggers Lindsay Beyerstein (Majikthise), Jeffrey Feldman (Frameshop), Bob Geiger (bobgeiger.com) and Bill Scher (Liberal Oasis, author Wait! Don't Move to Canada) discuss the progressive blogosphere's rise to power, and how this newly emergent political force will remake not only the Democratic Party, but the entire American political landscape.
The panel is going to take place on Saturday, December 2nd, from 2:00-3:00 at the Small Press Center, 20 West Forty-Fourth Street, New York, NY.
Damn, I guess that means you won't be coming to my party. :(

Didn't you write at the time Kos published his book that the Democratic blogosphere is actually not going to change that much?

The progressive blogosphere's *rise to power*? Did I miss something?

I think I said that Kos's hyper-partisanship might help Democrats win more seats without advancing a truly progressive agenda.

Oh fun. I'll try to make it. I've a meeting in New Jersey that weekend as it is.
