Armada owes Bill Donohue a tremendous debt of gratitude. He has pulled her from the backwaters of Blogdom and given her a cache her invective alone could never accomplish.

Yes, my "invective" could have never won me a spot on a presidential campaign or a book deal, for instance, two things that happened before Bill Donohue even uttered my name.

Yeah, and I think he means cachet.
Unless he's trying to say that Donohue sent you a treasure chest or a bunch of weapons.

"Unless he's trying to say that Donohue sent you a treasure chest or a bunch of weapons."

Amanda looks eerily like Olympe Maxime, headmistress of Beauxbatons. Looked liked a fun event.

For those of us from the sticks, what actually is "The Tank" where, unless I am confused, the discussions and presentations took place?
Posted by: Bruce | March 04, 2007 at 06:22 PM
The poster 'Jo Boobs' in the background refers to Jo Weldon who teaches burlesque dancing at Coney Island. She is great! - http://www.schoolofburlesque.com/
Nice photos Lindsay. This sounds like a fun event.

Bruce -
"The Tank" is in downtown Manhattan:
279 Church St, New York, NY

I'm not sure that particular picture is from the Tank... it could be from the bar we went to afterward.
Bruce, the Tank is a venue for artists of various kinds that doesn't require them to pay rent; it's run by Justin Krebs, the same guy who runs Drinking Liberally, whence the netroots panel.

I think that's the tank. I recognize the "Blasphemy" poster.

Great pic of Amanda. You should do her portrait for her book!

Wow! A Spot on a Presidential Campaign? How'd that work out? That team-up sure showed good judgement all around, didn't it?
Wow! A book deal! So you'll soon be an author, just like Ann Coulter. Will your book include impressive-looking footnotes, just like hers?
The career is really taking off! Are you looking to be, like Ann, a guest speaker at conventions, getting your group pepped up by saying vicious things about Outsiders? Don't worry about whether those things are true or not, or whether they're consistent with what you said yesterday: they just have to feel satisfying right now. And as Ann shows, the more outrageous, the better!

Let me guess the title of your pending book:
Fuck the Fucking Fuckers: A Memoir of My Fucked Up Childhood and the Christofascist Fuckheads Who Fucked Me Over!
