What's a BFF?

BFF=Best Friend Forever

Could be ... either way though, Coleman, win or not, has lots of splainin t'do concerning this.

If he were bright, he wouldn't be hanging on this hard, because this scandal will end up costing him his senate seat if he's found criminally accountable.

BFF=Best Friend Forever. Are you implying something?

"buy" not "by"

The election's over. It's little graceless to be focusing on this stuff. Far better subject in her African misunderstandings

Coleman and Kazeminy are old friends, that's all.

Coleman's election isn't over.

It is, as far as the voters are concerned.

You should focus on Saxby Chambliss, who will face a runoff in a few weeks.

I fear that we may have let you down in Minnesota, Lindsay. Though if there is ANY systemic bias towards Dem votes being wrongly counted more than Republican votes, Franken will win after all. I am now glad more than ever that I made sure my two siblings supported Franken, and harangued very one reluctant friend into it too.

Coleman's lead has shrunk to 342 votes. So, I'm very hopeful.

Who knows? Maybe Majikthise-reading Minnesotans will be the margin of victory.

Lindsay, it's a recount, not a revote. The only way you can make a difference now is by convincing some election official that Coleman is so corrupt that it's better to cheat and stuff the ballot boxes with Franken votes.

That's right Alon, it is a recount, not a re-vote, but the problem is, during the recounting, Coleman's lead is shrinking, and they have yet to even count the outstanding provisional and other ballots.

So let's count all the votes, and then we can go through the recount as mandated and THEN we can settle this thing.

Alon, remember Florida in 2000? Really close recounts are won as much in the court of public opinion as they are through the actual counting. This recount is probably going to end up in court.

If Norm Coleman's ethical lapses are as grave as I think they are, he could win the election and still end up in jail. I'm working on a big investigative piece about Coleman's ties to Kazeminy. Coleman seems to have a lot to answer for.

So what you're hoping is to have people root for Franken to win not because he won a plurality of the votes, but because Coleman is corrupt.

I'm saying that winning a plurality is necessary, but not sufficient.

OMG Franken's deficit is down to 236! This is BEFORE recounting. This is just election officials double checking their numbers.

Oh but Lindsay I do hope that you are wrong about litigation. I don't see any need for it, we use all optical scan ballots and there are clear guidelines about should and should not be accepted in a manual recount. You can't get rid of gray areas completely but there should be some agreed upon rules, at least I hope so.

I'm afraid that Coleman will take this to court, regardless of the outcome of the recount. He already declared "victory" and tried to browbeat Franken into waiving his right to a recount.

Ok the Star Trib has a new article saying that close Congressional races HAVE gone to court in the past. Sigh.
