Former lobbyist could do business with Raytheon from the Pentagon

Here's my latest contribution to the Washington Independent, a closer look at former Raytheon lobbyist Bill Lynn, who is poised to become the number 2 man at the Pentagon.

On his first day in office, Obama signed an executive order forbidding lobbyists who join the administration from having anything to do with their old clients or employers or even any issues they lobbied on for their first two years.

Whereupon, Obama gave Bill Lynn a special waiver to bypass the ethics rules he'd just signed into effect. Lynn will be allowed to work with Raytheon, and his decisions will only be subject to "ethics review" for one year.
