Special interests playing fast and loose with infrastructure, mostly loose
My latest contribution to the Washington Independent, a story about how some special interests are overstating their case for a good thing, infrastructure spending in the stimulus.

It's a good piece, though please, don't quote Dean Baker. Forget for a second that he doesn't publish research in peer-reviewed journals - he says things that are just insane. In The Right-Wing Nanny State, he proposes credentialing doctors based on a standardized computer-based test as a solution to health care costs. His opinion has the exact same weight as the opinion of Michelle Malkin.
